Alma, brillante scientifique, se révèle être une parfaite candidate pour se prêter à une expérience : pendant trois semaines, elle doit vivre avec Tom, un robot à l’apparence humaine parfaite, programmé pour correspondre à sa définition de l’homme idéal.
